Navigating to the Reports Webpage
To generate a report for specified parameters at a certain site, navigate to AirNowtech.org, log in, and select the "Data" tab. Then, select Reports (see below).
This brings you to the page where you can create your report. For this example, we will create a 1-hr daily maximum ozone report for a site in California for the last week. At the top right, there is a "Report Settings" box. Here you can modify the type of report you wish to generate (Count of Occurrences, top 10 AQI days, etc.) and can filter by certain values. To obtain the 1-hour maximum ozone in parts per billion (ppb), select "Standard Report (concentration)".
Selecting the data
Select the data you wish to use to generate the report under the "Data Settings" box located below "Report Settings." In this box, select the parameter you wish to report on. Click the Parameter Selector button to open the Parameter Selector screen.
Search for parameters by AQS code or by name and select the appropriate parameter. Before pressing the Retrieve Parameters button, you need to have at least one item selected from each column: Parameters, Duration, and POC (Parameter Occurence Code). You can select multiple items from a single column by holding CTRL+Left Click. Once you press the Retrieve Parameters button, your parameter should show up in the "Filtered Parameters" box. Then simply click the ">" button to move the parameter from the left box to the right box. Your parameter should show up in the "Selected Parameters" box. Press OK.
Next, select the sites you want to report on in the Monitoring Sites Selector Screen. This screen works similarly to the Parameter Selector screen, and sites can be searched by Agency, Parameter, EPA Region, State, Active/Inactive, AQS Code, County, and Core Based Statistical Areas (CBSAs).
In both the Site Selector screen and the Parameter Selector screen, you can save your selected data for future reports by typing a Site/Parameter List Name and pressing Save at the bottom of the page
After selecting your parameters and sites, you need to choose an aggregation. For the example, Daily Max is chosen in order to get the maximum 1-hr ozone data. Once an aggregation is chosen, the Filtered Data Set(s) box will populate with the query you wish to retrieve. Press the down arrows to move the desired selections into the "Selected Data Set(s):" box.
There are several additional options, including spatial grouping and sorting preferences. At this point, your data settings page should look similar to the following:
The final steps are to choose a desired date range, name your report for easy access in the future, and save/run your report.
Choosing a Date Range
On the left side of the screen is a "Display Settings" box. Here you can choose the date range you wish to report on and choose whether to create a Table or Bar Chart. For the example, we will be querying the last 7 days.
Saving and running your report
To save this query for a future report, navigate to the "My Reports" box at the top left of your screen. Select New report, and type in a desired report name.
Press the Save button at the bottom right of your screen to save the query.
Finally, press Run to generate your report and return the data at the bottom of the screen. There is also an option to export your data in CSV format (see above image). For this example, our report yielded the following:
