When performing a custom data query or report, you will use the tool. This tool allows you to query one or multiple parameters and save your query for use in the future.
Once the tool is opened, there are several options. The AQS Code search box allows the user to query by parameter/AQS code. For example, you can search for Ozone by entering 44201 in this box and clicking the Filter button at the top right. Similarly, the Text Search box can be used for this example by searching ‘O3’ and clicking Filter and get the same result (44201 – O3)
The Duration box lets you choose the averaging period for your query (Note that most sites only report to AirNow with 1 Hr data, so 1 Min and 15 Min averages will not work). The Parameter Occurence Code (POC) box allows you to select All or multiple POCs to query. POCs vary by agency and instrument.
Once parameter(s), duration(s), and parameter occurence code(s) (POC) are selected, click the Retrieve Parameters button to filter the parameters. You can use the CTRL key to select multiple options, such as POC 1 and 3 in the image below.
From the filtered dataset, select the parameters you would like by using the arrow icons. Once you selected your desired parameters, click OK to finish. Alternatively, you can type a name in the Parameter List Name box and click Save.
When returning to the query in AirNow-Tech, you will see your saved query in the Parameter(s): drop-down menu. You can reuse this query in the future without having to go through the steps above!
